Happy New Year - and Other Things
It's not too late to say Happy New Year is it? One week in and only three days back into work and I already feel like I could do with another holiday, how about you?
I'll be honest, the end of 2017 wasn't brilliant for me; I was unwell for about two months, which ran over Christmas as well. Not ideal when you live away from home and have been looking forward to getting back and spending time with family and friends.
I've been meaning to write over the holiday; in fact I've had lots of things I've wanted to share with you, but the other disaster was leaving all my chargers at the security scanner at the airport in Cyprus which meant my laptop died after about 3 days at home. Insert eye roll emoji here.
Home Sweet Home
It was great being back, despite (or perhaps IN spite of) being off the grid for a bit, even though I didn't feel 100%. I don't think you ever really appreciate what you have until you spend time away from it, be it a person or a thing. More on that later though.
So this week, I'll be posting all the things I wanted to over the last couple of weeks. I don't do New Year's resolutions, but one of my goals this year is to try and write more regularly, especially in the run up to the wedding (more on that to come, too!), as I think it'll be a nice reminder of things in a year or two.
For now though, I'll just wish you a Happy New Year - even though it's a bit late - and hope that you had fun celebrating as the clock struck midnight, wherever you are. Here's wishing you a fun, fulfilling and fabulous 2018.
